Summary: This book is a great read as it mentions a disability and how one particular character, Ellie, who is very positive about her time in a wheelchair. She has dreams, and tests out her cooking talents on her mother. The story goes on to seemingly make Ellie’s life a bit more difficult than she was used to and they have to move to take care of her grandfather. This new town is a new start for Ellie and she has to take her time getting used to everything happening all at once, but eventually makes it through and is happier where she is at the end of the story than where she was at the start.
Target Audience: The target audience for this book will be great for grades 4-7th. This text will challenge and help students transition to reading chapter books.
