Summary: Junie B. is starting 1st grade which means getting used to a whole different teacher, classroom and different students in the class. She starts off the school year having minimal to no friends but by the end of the book she has made some friends. This book also goes through the struggle Junie B. is having when she has a hard time reading the chalkboard and when she finds out she needs glasses.
Target Audience: The target audience for this book I feel would be great for the grades 3-5th. I also feel that it is good for students that may be experiencing something new and unexpected in their lives and accepting the new normal like Junie B. getting glasses.
